Plants built by Bertrams Chemical Plants Ltd. concentrate alkali solutions (caustic soda, caustic potash , calcium chloride, etc…) from the chlor-alkali industry. Depending on customer requirements, the end product is either a pre-concentrated solution or an anhydrous product in the form of flakes, prills, pellets or solidified in drums.

The advanced technology features falling film evaporators and concentrators, flash evaporators, rising film evaporators, steam driven and heated by thermal fluids.

Evaporation plant

Smart and efficient unit for the production of liquid caustic from 30 - 32% up to 50% wt.

The evaporation of caustic solution via membrane cell electrolysis has become an established part of our product range for the chlor-alkali industry.

Concentration plant

The combination of safe, reliable indirect heating with modular NaOH or KOH concentrators fabricated in high purity nickel has defined the state-of-the-art for decades.

Flaking plant

Drum flaking is the most efficient method for continuous solidification and production of caustic flakes. Our decades of experience with design and supply of more than 300 flakers for alkali application have resulted in our offering a “state-of –the art” equipment showing high availability, safety operation and long service life.

Prilling plant

A prilling plant enables the production of a dust-free product in a free-flowing form, offering significant advantages in the product conditioning.

Prills are universally applicable and of particular interest when blending of caustic with other granular material is required.

Carbonation plant

Carbonation plants for the production of potassium or sodium carbonate (K2CO3 / Na2CO3) offer substantial synergies for our customers in the chlor-alkali industry when carbonate systems are combined with caustic flaking or prilling plants.

Calcium chloride plant

Bertrams provides best solutions to use hydrochloric acid (HCl) generated in chlor-alkali plants to react with limestone to produce a calcium chloride solution.

Calcium chloride comes in the form of flakes, prills or granules, powders and liquid solutions each at various concentrations.
